Sitting at work listening to my Sad Mix on Spotify and I get an ad for Christmas Music. WHYYYYY?
Watched: Backrooms 🍿
Gave this a watch last week, but forgot to share my thoughts. It was meh. Maybe the web series was better, but the movie didn’t grab me. Obsession was much better.
I’ve had Mint Mobile for years with no issue. I updated to iOS 27 and blew through 20+ GBs in a matter of days – leading me to having to re-up a couple times. Turns out “Connectivity Assist” was chewing through my data. I quickly turned it off, but this was an expensive update.
Watched: The Taking of Deborah Logan 🍿
#2. A rewatch for me and new to Jacy. The only thing that I remember is the final scene of the climax. It’s been so long since I’ve last watched this that I forgot how disturbing the rest of the movie is. One of my favorites.
Watched: Mārama 🍿
A few days delayed but starting 31 movies for Halloween. Got the Shudder subscription for the occasion and starting out with this gothic revenge horror.
Another quick photo from leaving the mountains. Coming down the mountain and stopping here for beans and a cup of coffee is one of my favorite parts of visiting Shenandoah. It’s ritual.
Took a weekend trip to Shenandoah National Park for my sister’s wedding. Most of the weekend was washed out by rain, but the woods mixed with the rain, lights around the lodge, and bright red chairs made for nice photos. I have a few hundred on the OM-3 I need to review, but I love this phone snap.
Currently reading: Children of Dune by Frank Herbert 📚
The summer of Dune turned into the fall of Dune. Took a little detour but continuing my read through of the core series.
‘Doom Loop’: OpenAI and Microsoft Admits LLMs Are Destroying the Web and Built on Theft
From 404 Media. In a just world there would be actual consequences, but we’ll just follow the “too big to fail” precedent and keep destroying the world in the name of shareholder value.
Duo-Man. iPhone Duo app turns it into a walkman. I love this. It reminds me of the early iPhone apps when it was just about the fun. I’m not in the market for a Duo, but I’m here for more apps like this.
