Shopify CEO Tobi Lütke feels that the poor shouldn’t vote and give the rich more votes.
The techno-billionaire class are full on Marvel/Bond villains. They know nothing but greed – be it financial or ever important market share – and will do anything to get it. They have demonstrated over and over again that they’ll say anything, do anything (quasi or either full on illegal), kiss any ring, and degrade themselves for even the mere chance they can enrich themselves. True leeches on society.
I’d compare them to a meth addict robbing, stealing, and prostituting for the next hit of dopamine, but that’s being too harsh on those suffering from addiction.
The worst part is they are just so fucking bad at being billionaires. They’re not the first, we’ve had the Rockefellers, Carnegies, Vanderbilts. Old money billionaires who understood how to at least fake a social contract with the rest of the populace. They built institutions that benefited others – libraries, colleges, parks – to stave off the guillotines. Meanwhile we have Musk, Lütke, Ellison, and Theil seemingly welcoming them with open necks given their comments and actions.
